Yeah ik i havent written in a while. Well I just want to post a story... its crap but i kinda feel better now...
The Bus Stop
Snow is piling up outside, yet we still have school. I slip on my shoes, head out the door and lock it. Despite the freezing cold snow I walk to my bus stop. When I finally cross the busy intersection I reach my destination. Three other kids are standing there. One is listening to his iPod as I brush past him. The other boy stands in the street waiting for the bus. The only girl, besides me, is standing there her iPod is also plugged in her ears.
“Hello Rachel*,” I say.
“Hey Vivian*.”
She continues talking about how beautiful the snow is and how she loves to hear the birds sing. I’m barely listening, in fact I'm trying very hard not to pay attention to her, I just want the noise in my head to stop. I don’t want to think about last night. I’m finally jerked from my thoughts when I notice Rachel is staring at me.
“Yes,” I ask.
“You’re really pretty.”
It takes me entire strength not to collapse down and cry. That’s not what I thought last night. I’m jerked from my thoughts yet again when I notice my ex and his friend walking towards the bus stop. When they get here they acknowledge Rachel. Typical guys. After a few awkward seconds Rachel starts walking in a circle leaving footsteps in her wake. The circle of life, the one I almost ended, I think before I can stop myself. Don’t think about last night, I tell myself sternly. Every sound suddenly seems amplified, Rachel’s pacing, the music coming from that one kid’s iPod. The snow seems extra cold. I can feel my heart racing in my chest. And then my bus finally pulls up, a portal to school and maybe a way to escape my thoughts, but then I remember I forgot about Wil. I guess life isn't perfect.
